Spend any time within the music industry and you can get pretty jaded: Am I doing this right? Am I working hard enough? Does what I do matter? Can I live up to my own expectations? And so on...
This is my 'Sarc-anthem' (also read: sarcastic anthem) in response to those feelings; embracing these feelings of doubt and defeat over an unabashed rock song. And I invite you, listener, into that release with me. We've all got those 'cursed' areas of our lives where desire and reality fight an epic battle. Take a little time to acknowledge that place, throw your own pity party, and move on -- all in about 3 and a half minutes!
lyrics
Oh I'm shattered on the ground,
I cut the earth when I come down,
Should I ever take this gamble,
When the blood is on my hands?
Could you be a friend and tell me how this story ends,
And why it seems like every time it's just another...
Broken mirror that I don't have the time to fix,
I knew that life would track me down but oh my God it comes on quick,
It's not that I don't wannna change but all these things they stay the same,
It's just another broken mirror
Oh I'm cracking at the frame,
And now I'm lost in all these shapes,
What is something that I did,
Or just these voices in my head?
Could you be a friend and tell me how this story ends,
And why it seems like every time it's just another...
Broken mirror that I don't have the time to fix,
I knew that life would track me down but oh my God it comes on quick,
It's not that I don't wannna change but all these things they stay the same,
It's just another broken mirror
